ISIS flag AKA The Black Banner or Black Standard is not just the flag for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group. The black flag is connected to Muhammad and the Islamic tradition and since the 1990’s, it also became the symbol for the jihadist movement and extremist groups like Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab and the Taliban.
