What is the Pointy-nosed blue chimaera?
This mysterious fish specie from the Chimaeridae family was given its name after Ray Troll - an America artist that documented the Pointy-nosed blue chimaera in his artworks.
Just like sharks and rays the Ray Troll's chimaera skeletons' are built from cartilage, not bone this is one of the reasons why it also eared the name Ghost Shark.
